Transmits a return certificate produced by Captain G.E.Herbert, 9th LT. Cavy. with recommendatin that his return to his duty may be announced in G.A. date of arrival at Fort William 10th dec. 1843, but with refer. to g.A. 22nd Sep. last, he is entitled to reckon his return from the date of arrival of the peassengers of the mail of teh month of Aug. last, which is not know in his office.
