Decision that menials paid from contingencies should be excluded from the scope of section 262 of the Govt. of India Act, 1935, i.e. that the issue of declarations under section 262 of the Act in their favour is not required. Decision that the Portuguese possessions in India are to be treated as ``territories adjacent to India`` for the purpose of section 262 of the Act.
