With reference to a letter of the 22nd ultimo with extract of a despatch from the court of directors in which they notice the recent depressed state of the cnetral stud the qualities of the stallions sent out from europe & other subordinate to the suptd. of the two division of the stud on the sevral points noticed but with reference to the suggestion of the courts to which the boards attention is directed the 2nd para of lieutt. collte that the horce of the Bengal mounted corps shopuld like those at madras be shod on the hind as wel as fore feet intimate .
