In reply to lr. No.47 Dt.12th Ultimo states,that promotion of havildar Pre Singh 2nd Regt. Punjab Infy. to the rank of Jumadar has been notified in genl order of the 7th instt. and explains, that the rolls ubmitted with secy. col.Stuarts lr. No.81 of the 13th July 1850 was insunderstood in the presy. office.
