Lr. no. 13 dated 2nd August 1843 stating that the Queen will confer Medals on the Offrs. adn pvt. soldiers of H M's Army engaged in teh battles of Meeanee and Hyderabad and that the Have resolved in Comnemoration of these achievments to cause an approprites to cause an approprrate medal to be struck in silver to be presented to all teh Offrs. and soldiers of the E J compy's Army.
