In reply to ltr. no. 402 under date the 26th ultimo, with its enclosure directed to convey the sanction of the right honeble., the Govr. genl. to the contingetn bill amtg. to Rs.4950 for compensatin paid to the propreitors of 46 houses which it was deemed necessary to remove in consequcne of thier proscimity to the poser magzine in the Fort of Bukkur.
