WIth refec. to a lr. of the 24th ultimo states the govr. genl. opinion that compensation should be granted to the non-commsd. officers and soldies of H M's 9th Foot for loss of baggage sustained by them durin theri recent service in Affghanistan at the rates and on the principal laid down in the pay and audit reg. as recomemnded by the commader in cheif -O P returned.
