In reply to his despatch no. 807 of the 13th inst., intimating that the P in C in sees no objection to inposted Engineer G.D. crawford beign permitted to do dutuy with the 9th N.I. at Lahore until he shalhl be permanently posted to a regt. provided the state isnot to be put to any extr expenss by this arangemnt.
