Submits copy correspondence relating to the surrender of a Govt. Promissary note for 1,400 Rs. deposited by major Johnson, now of the retired list, as his security , pending the adjustment of a claim to htat extent that then stood against him as Assitt. Commanding General. & with reference to the above demand having since been adjusted, with exception if Rs. 15-12- & this sum having been paid by the agent Agra Bank states that there is no objection to the surrender of the Govt. Prommissary note.
