With reference to Major Wyllits ltr. no. 555 of the 23rd Aug. last, submis the name of Mr. C. Shelverton who has bene entertined form the 1st jan. 1857 as an eligibel candidate to sucded as a 3rd class sub at the vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. 2nd class sub asst. R.w. Pirce.
