With reference to Office Memo. of the 25th July 1849 regarding the irregular manner in which Treasure is forwarded by the civil authorities to the Frontier, Transmits, for information, copy letter from the Secy. to Govt. North Western Provinces, forwarding subject with the accountant N.W. Provinces, & observing that the circumstances which led to the requisition for 2 Treasure Parties within a short period, for the conveyance of Specie from Neenuch to Indore are expalined in Paras 1 to 4 of the accountant letter of 8th January last.
