Submits, copies of papers, regards certain repair to be executed to the building at lahore observe that the G.O 30 sept'r 1847. requires every order creative of expense to be sent for confirmation through the C.in C while the G.O 17th jan. 1829. directs, that the circumstance as regards the Dep. of O works should be reported there the military Board it might therefore be expedient and prevent misconception, to make the Dep of Public Works an exception in the G.O of 1847.
