In replky to his despacth no. 2695 of the 20th ultimo remarking fro infromation that medical officers in the himalaya hold no charge whatever save that for which they recive Rs 150 repective by the necesssary expense of living are much greated in the hill than in the plains they are subject to be called upon nighg or day & to go long distance under these circumstanc e the honable the C in chief cannot coincide with the vi=ews of the madras Govt.
