Acknowledging the receipt of his letter No 268 of 16th Instant with enclosures connected with the Estates of the late Serjeant Forbes and Gunner carmon both of the artillery and intimating that the surplus proceeding in both cases may be delivere to the legatees watch of Serjeant Forbes which is to be forwarded to this Department for delivery to decaseds son to whom it is be greathed.
