In reply to no. 221 dy. the 8th feb. 1853 submits that fuiding Asst. commussary Genl. captn. W. W. davidson at the Presidency he had made it his first duty to place that officer on charge of the comt. office at the presidency in order to relive the joint dy. comy. Genl. from the Executive duties so that captn. newbott may attend to those of his own proper office.
