Transmitting lr. no. 153 date 17th march 1849 from Dr. qr. Mr. Genl. of the army to the addressf of the secy to the govt. of India in the mily Dept. also the reply thereto no. 168 date 21st march 1849 approving of all the arrangements the commander in chief has authorized for providing temporar shchter for the Enropean.
