With reference to Military Department letter no 580 of the 23rd November 1849 and 475 of the 13th October 1852 transmits a return showing the sickness mortality and invaliding among the troops of the Madras Presidency for the year ending 31st march 1852 and states that the c in c has been requested to cause the above returns to be forwarded in future .
