Transmits, copy despatch frm the Commissioner in Sind, relative to the high rate of passage money demanded from officers proceeding on duty by fSteamers on the River Indus, and submits the favorable recommendation of the Bombay Govt. that the Chief civil & Mily. Authorities may be empowered to grant free passage as regards transit charge withyout forfeiture of pay or tentage, in special cases when it is considered of essential importance to the public service.
