Forwarding extract para 3 to 6 of a mily letter from the court of Drs. no 46 of 30th May 1849 declining to sanction the alterations of orders proposed by the Madras Government with the execption of the uniform of non commissioned staff a alttached to native corps and to department which is to be assimilated to that of serjts of artillery and Eurolufy or to make any increase to the amount of off recknowings or fit an annual sum for off recknowings for the half share, and desiring to be furnished with a statement of the alteration that amy have been made during the last 3 years in the uniform of the Euro officers .
