In reply to his letter no. 163 of the 9th inst. - Stating for communication to the commander in chief that the Govr. Genl. in council considers he has taken a just new in expressing his opnion thta the Majro Genl. Commanding the force at Mooltan should exercise his own judgement in determinign the force whixh should be left for the occuptation of Mooltan on the Capture of that provicne.
