With reference to Military Department letter No 740 of the 30th Ultimo transmits an affidavit of widomhood from the widow of the late pensioned Bugle major cardell and a certificate showing tht the decased was born on the Rolls of the artillery Regiment from the 27th Setember 1818 to 28th October 1843.
