In reply to ltr. no. 2787 of the 18th ultimo, requsting information as to the cause whihc led to the claim of the 9th Bombay N.I. to bear the word sedaseer on their color having been left in obey once from the year 1823 when the honour were confered on other corps engaged in that action.
