In reply to a letter of the 25th ultimo, having refrence to the claim of Bengal major J. Hyland, of the Invalid Establishment, to the llod Conduct, Medal and Gratituty authorized by G.O.G.G no 196 of 1848, requests, that under the orders, of the President in Council the Mily auditor General may be instructed to furnish a report there on OP returned.
