With reference to a ltr. of the 18th July last, intimatign that 50 Rs. had been sanctioned for the purchae of a barometer for asst. surgeon Clmenger proceedign to the Chumba hills reprt that on being advisee of this applicaton by the Supg. surgeon they authroiaed him to prevent disappoiment in case of a barometer not being procurable.
