With respect to G.G.O. 486 of the 22nd of January last, permitting Captain G.J. Yarcliffe to resign command of the 1st Punjab, regt., I have the honor, by desire of his Excellency, to submit for the confirmation of the Right Honorable the Governor General in council, an extract from regimental orders issued to that regiment on the 24th February directing Major C.B. Knorr, 2nd in Command, to assume Command, Lieutenant E.C. Clopton, Adjutant, to officiate.
