With reference to my letter No 153 dated the 29th ultimo desiring to state for the information of the Right Hon’ble the Governor in Council, their conveyance in case of the receipt by this government of information of the assumption of Aleppo by the Emir’s force, the Hon’ble the Governor in Council has countermanded pending the instructions of the government of India, the orders for the transmission to the mouth of the Indus by the steam Frigate Auckland, for the purpose of being thence conveyed to Ferozepore, of the present of plates received from Her Majesty the Queen of England for His late Highness.
