Forwards copy of a letter from Assistant Surgeon C. Thomson of the Bombay army representing that he has passed the colloquial examination in the Hindoostanee language at Mehidpoor in Feb. 1857 has not been made know to the Bombay Govt. Requests to report the Fact through the authorised channel that Dr. Thompson name may be gazetted and marked in the Army list in the usual manner.
