I am directed to transmit to you the enclosed copy and translation of a letter from the Nabob Nazim's younger brother, complaining of the ingovernable and unwarrantable conduct of Meer Mahummud Reza khan, in taking an unwarrantable latitude of liberty with respect to the use of his house and equipage at Moorshedabad, in seizing and carrying away a valuable portion of his library, and on the dereliction of all those duties which are imposed upon Meer Mahummud Reza khan by his relative situation to the Nazim; and to desire that you will be pleased to express to Meer Mahummud Reza khan the expectation of government, that he will regulate his conduct in a manner consistent with the rank and situation of the Nabob Nazims younger brother, as the head of the family.
