The Secretary in conformity to the Board's order of the 5th instant, reports that the present state of the Business and Duties of this Office, will not admit of the Establishment of his Office being reduced to its Original Standard in May 1795. The Secretary takes the liberty to observe that most of the Duties detailed in this Report exist nearly as in 1799 on account of which the establishment may require the augment still remains. The Secretary begs leave to state the following Comparison between the Ballot of the 2nd August 1802, after the Office was first submitted for the Ballot of the proceeding for the 2nd August 1802, as serving an independant of additional Work not capable of being introduced into the Comparison to justify what is above represented of the impracticability of reducing Establishment to its original numbers in 1795.
