In consideration of letter No. 2533 from the Resident, I am directed by the Lieutenant Governor to submit the enclosures and extract of the Government order accompanying the case of letter No. 2525, dated 6th March 1858, from the Accountant General, Northwest Provinces, in which he claims compensation for the property destroyed by fire on the Rail and to observe that there is strong ground for treating that case as specially in anticipation of a decision as to the relations between the Government and the Railway.
