Draft of a letter to the Supercargoes at Canton, enclosing a copy of an advertisement, issued in December, 1787, for proposals for the supply of current rupees from India to Canton, reporting that no offer has been received, refusing to issue certificates at a discount unless a sufficient exportation is expected, and requesting to be furnished with an account of the sale proceeds of the article sent from India, and an estimate of the consignments for 1787-88.
