Captain William Beauchamp Purdon of His Majesty's Ship Dedaigneuse having endeavoured to publish his proceedings of Court Martial in the newspapers of Bengal and Madras, and also a pamphlet printed at Bombay and generally circulated at the other Presidencies. Printed preface inserted in the Calcutta paper extremely derogatory to the respect due to the subordination of His Majesty's naval service.
