Outbreak of cholera in the Lazaret at Basrah and the detention of Indian pilgrims in infected quarters. Proposal of the Constantinople Board of Health that disinfection and five days’ quarantine should be applied to Shiah pilgrims before departure from Indian ports if suppression of the pilgrimage is impossible.
