Letter from Mr.Claud Alexander Military Paymaster-General requesting to know whether the advance to Sir Charles Blunt is to be made in preference to all other demands, intimating that it had been reported to him that the 2nd Brigade is in great distress for want of money, and suggesting tha as long as there is rice in stire it might be served ouy to the troops instead of subjecting them to the purchase unwholesome grain.
