Letter from Admiral Sir Edward Hughes, furnishing explanations with respect to certain passages which had been taken exception to in his letter of the 30th June, 1783, intimating that Mr. Arthur Cugthbert is willing to resign the office of Agent victualler to His Majesty squadron and acquainting the Board with the arrangements made for despatching certain disabled ships of his squadron to England and for transporting a body of land forces a quantity of clothing tents etc. to the Malabar coast.
