Pakistan claimed that its prompt despatch relief India and General Musharraf’s telephone call to Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee was nothing but a gesture or sympathy for the quake victims. However; tne coverage of PTV and Radio Pakistan clearly indicates that this gesture was not without political motives.
