Farquhar, Resident at the Moluccas, to the Governor-General in Council at Fort St. George, reporting the safe arrival of the Eliza and the London with provisions, explaining why the Moluccas occasion a heavy expense to the Company, expressing a hope that the measure adopted by him to suppress the illicit trade in spices will meet with the approval of the Board, stating how he has won over the people of the Settlement of Monado to sell their rice to the Company, and stating that he proposes to send spices to Madras on the Eliza.
