Draft of a letter to the President and Council of Fort St. George, forwarding a copy of the above letter,stating that the reply to their letter of the 6th November, 1784, has not yet been received from the Judges,intimating the payment to Capt. Smith of the Admiral Sir Edward Hughes of sicca rupees 67,573-8 for the supply of rice to Fort St.George, and asking them to take receipts in triplicate for any sum advanced to an officer on the Bengal establishment.
