Letter from Col. T. D. Pearse to Capt. John Murray, Commissary-General, stating that the order of the 7th March, 1783, was issue din his detachment on the 16th May, and explaining the reasons which induced him to order the Paymaster to continue to the commanding officers of corps and battalions their allowances according to the old regulations until the date when the new regulations were ordered to take· effect by the Board.
