Letter from Brigadier-General Stibbert, Provincial Commander-in- Chief, submitting a letter from Major Baillie, proposing that Major Baillie be permitted to resign his Infantry command and be considered on the strength of the Cavalry corps, and also that some compensation be made him for his disappointment in not being appointed to the command of the 4th Regiment of Cavalry, as it was chiefly by his (Major Baillie's) exertions and money that this regiment was raised.
