Department council/J.C.M. item rest rules for running staff item suggested for discussion by AIRF at- (1) As a result of decision taken at the meeting of the departmental council on 1-5-1972 to running staff should be based on total duty from signing on the signing off and should be as under Rest of Headquarters (a) For duty of less then 8 hours - 12 hours (b) For duty of 8 hours or more- 16 hours. (2) Clarified that all running staff when they are employed on duties which provide for daily rest of Headquarters including those on shunting operations, Suburban trains, Ballast trains or working as pilot we will not be eligible to the grant of Novelized Headquarter rest
