Ministry of Labour-Industrial dispute between the Executive Engineer (Construction) Southern Railway, Madras and the Dakshin Railway Casual Labour Union Cochin The Ministry of Labour suggested that the unit of seniority of casual labour should be District Officer or DPO in case of casual labourers since they are transferred from one unit of Senior Subordinate to another. Suitable reply sent to the M/o Labour. M/o Labour referred the matter to Tribunal which upheld the procedure of maintaining Unitwise seniority as envisaged in Board's letter No. E/LL/71/AT/ID/1-7 dt. 22-1-1974
