Extract of item No. VII of the agenda received from the NFIR for discussion at the P.N.M. meeting with the Railway Board in April 63- Conditions of work of Gatemen 'C'-As a result of discussion of the Dy. meeting held on 7.5.63 it was decided that where C Class level crossings were situated on Sections where either road or rail traffic had increased appreciably, the question of giving rest to gatemen on weekly basis would be considered. Consequently all 'C' class gatemen and to reclassify them as 'E.I' or Continuous wherever it is considered justified Railways have since completed this work.- No further action
