The Administrative Reforms Commissions study team (Railway) recommended No. 46 to All Indian Railways on the posting of assistant officers to control the supply and storage of diesel oil at the various depots. It was decided to create one AME (High Speed Diesel) position at the Itarsi, New Katni, and Waltair diesel sheds for the time being. The findings were then monitored for a year. The posts were open from 13-2-78, 10-4-78, and 6-1-78, in that order
