It has been determined that the officers as specified in the senior scale letter of the Boards letter No. E56EM1/13/3 dated 31.2.1959, which was previously mentioned, may also exercise the powers to grant permission to take up employment during L.P.R. and after retirement. These powers may be used during terminal leave granted under the provisions of section VII of chapter VII-R.I., or while the officers are on leave that is permitted to run concurrently with the period of notice in accordance with the orders contained in the Boards letter No. E51RN1/2/2 dated 7-1-1952
