Central Railway: Inquiry as to whether the N.W.Act, 1948 applied to specific types of casual labourers, such as Khalasi, Peons, Watchmen, Messengers, and Flagmen employed by the Executive Engineer, Special Works, Kurla. The Ministry of Law advised evaluating each situation in the context of the workers work and employment when determining whether or not the employee was covered under the M.W. Act. The employee would benefit from that Act if he worked in a schedule employment or in any branch or procedure that was a component of that employment
