Ministry of Labour and Employment The Indian Labour Conferences 19th Session is scheduled for October 9 and 10, 1961, in Bangalore. The Ministry of Labour and Employment was notified that the Railways had mostly met the conclusions on the abolition of the Contract system for regular work performed in factories. Regarding the recommendations for the primary employer to provide contractors workers with necessary amenities, the Ministry was advised that the Railway would not be able to carry out these recommendations.
