In accordance with Board letter No. E(GR)56RC1-25 dt. 17-3-59, a reference from the General Manager of the Northern Railways is made asking for pass marks to be stipulated for the departmental examinations in order to give advance incremental to probationers of Class I service on the Indian Railways. Decision that probationers must receive at least 50% in each paper and viva-voce and 60% overall to pass the Dept. exams
