Note from Shri K. Vaidyanath about the appointment of university scientists to the research wing positions. At its meeting on October 15, 1966, the Board decided, in accordance with the suggestion of the Kunzru Committee, to begin hiring research researchers in the fields of electronics, mechanical engineering, and semiconductors. The Board reviewed the DG/RDSO's request for RDSO expansion in the ERB-I file and determined that no basic research work, design work, or other issues were being addressed by RDSO to address the immediate demands. As a result, it was determined that the topic did not need to be pursued further
