A plea for an increase in the rate of stipend while training in the United Kingdom from the Special Class Apprentices of the 1942 cohort. Resolution: (i) to enhance the annual stipend to 400/-, (ii) to provide Mr. N. Padmanathan, the Electrical Traction probationer, with an amount equivalent to the discrepancy between 400/- per annum and his salary, and (iii) to provide an equipment allowance of Rs. 500/- per month to all special class apprentices and probationers dispatched to the United Kingdom
